What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which let a site remember information on your device. This policy covers all of these, together "cookies".
How Bucky uses them
Bucky uses only what is needed to sign you in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell any data collected this way.
Cookies & storage we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Essential | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard after Discord authentication | Session |
| api_token | Essential (localStorage) | Authenticates dashboard API requests | Until logout |
| Onboarding / UI preferences | Functional (localStorage) | Remembers dashboard tour progress and interface preferences | Until cleared |
Essential cookies are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off from within the app. Functional storage improves your experience and can be cleared at any time from your browser.
Third-party content
The site loads a small number of resources from third parties (for example, web fonts and script libraries from their content-delivery networks). These providers may set their own cookies or receive your IP address as part of serving that content. We keep such dependencies to a minimum.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings, and you can sign out of the dashboard to remove your session token. Blocking essential cookies will prevent the dashboard from working.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. Changes will be posted here with an updated date.
